Real Answers About Your Deodorant (And Armpits!)
(everything you were going to Google anyway)
Getting Started (if you’re new to this, start here)
Yes, it’s built to handle odor directly, not just mask it. Ingredients like magnesium and zinc ricinoleate help stop odor before it starts, while powders like tapioca keep things feeling dry without blocking sweat completely.
So no, you won’t suddenly stop sweating (you’re a human, not a robot). But you also shouldn’t smell like something went wrong halfway through the day.
Once in the morning usually does it.
If it’s a long day, hot, or you’re doing something ambitious (good for you), you can reapply. No complicated schedule. No timing it like a science experiment.
Apply it. Leave the house. Live your life.
1–3 swipes per side. That’s it.
More isn’t better. At a certain point you’re just… layering it on for emotional support.
Yes. You’re allowed.
Especially if it’s hot, stressful, or just one of those days. A quick reapply is normal—not a failure.
If Something Feels Off (because sometimes it does)
Usually one of three things:
- You didn’t apply enough
- You applied it to damp skin
- Or your previous deodorant is still… lingering
Also, some formulas just don’t do it for your body chemistry. That’s the honest answer.
Honestly… sometimes, yes.
That adjustment period can feel a little off. More sweat, different smell, not your favorite phase.
If you want to speed that part up (or at least make it less annoying), we put together a simple guide that walks you through it without turning it into a whole routine.
Short answer: no.
If your skin is irritated, that’s not your body “detoxing,” it’s your skin telling you something isn’t working for it. And that’s worth paying attention to, not pushing through.
Natural deodorant can have an adjustment period, but a rash isn’t something you should just wait out and hope for the best.
We put together a quick guide to help you figure out what’s going on (and what to do next), so you don’t have to guess your way through it.
Then something’s off, and we fix it. Try:
- Applying to clean, dry skin
- Using a little more (not a lot more)
- Giving it a few days
If it’s still not working, it’s not a “you” problem. Reach out. We’ll figure it out.
Ingredients & Skin (what’s actually going on here)
Because it works, without being harsh.
Magnesium helps neutralize odor-causing bacteria without the irritation that baking soda can cause for some people. It’s effective, but not aggressive about it.
Exactly what you want in something you’re using every day.
It’s designed to be, but skin can be unpredictable.
If you tend to react to everything, start light. One swipe. See how it goes. Or start with Good Morning (Unscented) Natural Deodorant.
Also: if your skin is irritated, give it a break. Putting deodorant on already angry skin is not going to end well.
Practical Stuff (the things you’re actually wondering)
It shouldn’t, if you’re not overdoing it.
Let it absorb for a second before getting dressed, and you’re good. If you’re swiping like you’re frosting a cake, that’s where problems start.
Usually 1–3 months, depending on how heavy-handed you are.
If you’re going through it in two weeks, we need to talk about your swipe technique.
They’re made for women.
That said, if a guy picks one up and likes it, we’re not going to stop him.
We focus on scents and formulas that feel good, work well, and don’t try too hard. If you’re not sure where to start, take a look at our guide or reach out and we’ll point you in the right direction.
Not officially.
Every now and then we’ll slice up a deodorant and toss a few samples into orders, but it’s not something we offer all the time.
So… if you get one, you got lucky.
We do our best to be.
We use as many organic ingredients as we can and support organic farming because it’s better for people, the environment, and the long run. That part matters to us.
For shipping, we stick to recyclable materials whenever possible, and a lot of our boxes are made from recycled sources. We also reuse packing materials when we can, because throwing out perfectly good packaging just doesn’t make sense.
We’re not perfect, but we’re paying attention and trying to do it better where we can.
No, never.
We test on ourselves, friends, and anyone willing to give honest feedback. Turns out humans are much better at reporting deodorant performance anyway.
Orders & Shipping (no, we don’t teleport it, yet)
We process orders within 24–48 hours (Monday–Friday). Basically, if you order it, we get it moving pretty quickly.
Shipping is handled through USPS using either Ground Advantage (standard) or Priority (faster).
- Ground Advantage: usually 3–14 business days depending on where you are
- Priority: typically 3–5 business days
Once your order ships, you’ll get a tracking email so you can keep an eye on it (as often as you want. We all do it).
Occasionally, we’ll use FedEx or UPS depending on the order size or availability, but either way, it’s on its way to you.
Route is an optional shipping insurance you can add at checkout.
It covers your order if it gets lost, damaged, or goes missing somewhere along the way (which doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it’s frustrating).
If something goes wrong, you can file a claim directly through Route and get it resolved much faster than going back and forth with carriers.
You’ll see it in your cart automatically, but you can turn it off anytime before checkout if you don’t want it.
